Heeee

You know it's going to be a good day at work when you manage to break a co-worker within a minute of clocking in. He was talking about how, a few years ago, the office picnic had taken place at a big park, and there were a few people "all dressed up with the swords and everything" - LARPers. I laughed and said that LARPers tend to be a subset of your average geek, and on a different position in the geek hierarchy. He asked me what would be on the bottom of the hierarchy, and I told him that furries would probably be there, by most people's standards.

He asked what a furry was.

Ehehehehehehehe. I'm bad, but it was fun. :)

The poor furries, lowest of the already low.

Actually, I've noticed in my old age I care less and less about that sort of thing. I do what I like and who cares how other peopel feel about it!

Actually, even Furries have an internal heirarchy. Furry fanfic authors seem to be at or near the bottom of the list ...

I do so love Dork Tower.

I believe his exact reaction was "*blink* *blinkblink* You mean...but...people like that EXIST?!?"

I love messing with mundanes. Especially since I'm kinda stealthy in my geek-fu - I'm not the most obvious of gamers, for example, and a lot of my geekery doesn't come out unless certain topics of conversation come up. :)
