Bookstore!
So, an interesting conversation with Eric last night made me realize just how many gaps I have in my knowledge of fantasy and sci-fi literature. I didn't really start reading fantasy or sci-fi until...college, maybe? And even then, there are the classics that I've just...never gotten to. That's not to say that I don't know the basics - I know where my towel is, and how to get to Narnia, but that's more through osmosis of trivia than necessarily through reading the books myself.

So I ask you, friends of the internet - what do you think are the core, must-read books in fantasy and/or sci-fi? Assume I've read nothing - I am a blank slate. :)

Well, I survived the spinal tap. Can't say it was an experience that I'd EVER want to repeat, but it's done. Next Monday, I'm meeting with my neurologist to go over the results and see if this will actually give us any answers regarding these stupid headaches.

Went to the Harry Potter 7 midnight release party - it was my last chance, y'know? It was really cool, and not nearly as crazy as I thought it would be. I finished the book Saturday afternoon (after staying up waaaaaaay too late reading). No spoilers, but I am content with how it ended. i was not tempted to throw the book at any point, though there were a couple of characters that deserved a good thwacking.

Not much else going on. Doing...better, overall. It figures that, once my mental health starts getting a bit more stable, that's when my physical health starts going to hell. Ah, well.
