I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. [There are even some people I don't know at all.] Take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself, anything at all, it doesn't have to be inspiring or anything like that, just something I might not know. I'd be utterly gobsmacked it if every single person who friended me did this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

I am left-handed. Painfully, awkwardly so, at times. But I'm right-eye dominant. So I bat right, throw right and bowl right (all very poorly). I fence right, but am better at that.

I am a huge fan of 'brain stem' humor, but do not watch TV - I haven't for about five years now. However, back when I did, I was way into Beavis & Butthead (the 8-hour Moronathon's were like multiple orgasms for me), South Park, and the Simpsons.

Every time somebody mentions liking black coffee, I remember something I read in Milwaukee Magazine when I was about 11, and had no idea what the deal was, but it's still stuck in my head.

It was an interview with a local African-American comic, and at one point he was mentioning being on a date with a woman, and offered her some coffee.

'She said, "I like me coffee the way I like my men." So I made her a cup of gay coffee.'

In high school I was known for three things about my appearance: I arched one eyebrow a lot, had an unusually long stride, and wore aloha shirts all the damn time. Brightly-colored, floral-print aloha shirts.
These things were the subject of much mirth, and one friend even drew a comic about me as a James-Bond-type-superspy who had trouble keeping his poofy hair slicked back and always wore Hawai'ian shirts in fights, occasionally surfing to victory. There were multiple issues.
This led to A: the practice of my 'barrio days', where I'd wear such a shirt over a tight white t-shirt and chinos and cruise through downtown, car windows down, blasting mariachi music, in the summer;
B: my being cast in a no-budget slasher flick--in Italian--by a friend who was directing, and being cast specifically as the closeted, hypermacho Latino street tough who sacrifices himself by knife-fighting the killer;
C: the eventual adaptation of wearing Hawai'ian shirts over ALL BLACK, which eventually turned into the nothing-but-black-and-grey I wear nowadays.
Also my first kiss was in a very, very purple aloha shirt which I think of as my Lucky Shirt to this day. But people laugh a lot whenever I wear it.
Maybe, deep down, I wanted to be Cuban or something.

I haven't "friended" you in the LJ sense, but I guess I count?

Um, I'm really stressed out right now with finals this coming week, Chef working at least 12-hour days, seven days a week, and the ant infestation in my pantry (see webpage update).

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to identify myself. (*That's* how stressed I was.)
