Weekend in review

Friday: LAST DAY OF READING! Hugs from volunteers, asked for letters of reference from other volunteers (!!!), cookies eaten and candy cleaned up. Eric picked me up, and we headed to Everett, bearing the Trunk of Doom (tm) that has been involved in every move for the past 5 years.

Saturday: Eric has Seattle GameCon 2, so I stay at home and spend some quality time with Ramses and my books. After he gets home, we go to Troy, where I chant the first line of The Iliad in ancient Greek, thus maintaining my Reed cred. (For those not in the Reed know, The Iliad is the first book required for Hum 110, a class required of all incoming freshmen. The first lecture of Hum 110, you learn to chant the first line in ancient Greek.) I then spent a good chunk of the next two and a half hours saying "But...but...NO!" At least they kept the major plot points - Helen goes to Troy, Achilles pouts, etc. etc. and so forth. Ugh.

Sunday: Meet up with ryhopewood and quizro at Baja Fresh for food and massive geeking-out at the local Asian mall. Then heading for home, where Eric gained even more Mom points by helping her set up her new universal remote. Oh, he's so in. :)

And now to sleep, then to graduation tomorrow at Reed, followed by the end-of-year party for work. Yay all around. :)
